Roles & Responsibilities:
Design, develop, distribute and maintain all business information related reporting, including the development of complex parameterized reports, potential integration with a web based interface and the design of enterprise dashboard solutions. Assist in the implementation of quality and information distribution standards and processes. Work closely with the Business to understand the functional needs of system users and translate those needs into system requirements and design for data warehousing and reporting.
Collaborate with development teams to design, develop, maintain, and deploy SQL database systems, Azure SQL, and Power BI
Partner with Architect data solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and using key Infrastructure technologies
Contribute to data migration efforts from existing systems, other databases, and business applications.
Ensure all data solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security (GDPR), governance, privacy, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
Monitor system performance and fine-tune performance to ensure data efficiency.
Assist in planning and managing the deployment of solutions to dev, test, and production environments using automation.
Collaborate and plan project tasks within an agile development environment.
Working and collaborating with business partners, product owners, developers, and data engineers to maintain and develop new solutions.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 4+ years of related data warehouse experience. Advanced knowledge of SQL, statistical analysis, relational databases, specifically SQL Server 2005 and Teradata. Experience developing in Microsoft Power BI. Experience leading and directing an Enterprise Business Intelligence initiative. Ability to connect Enterprise Strategic Initiatives to Performance Indicators through executive/management interviews and original research. Advanced knowledge of design and development of Performance Indicator or operational-style dashboards. SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI preferred
Skills
Experience with technologies such as SQL Server, Power BI, and Azure Data Factory
Exceptional experience developing SQL code, testing for quality assurance, administering RDBMS, and monitoring of database
High proficiency in dimensional modeling techniques and their applications
Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills; as well as the ability to make good judgment and work with both technical and business personnel
Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze existing RDBMS applications
Excited to take on challenging tasks with a small, highly motivated, and talented scrum team
Reliable, self-motivated team player with positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Comfortable working as part of a distributed team.
